The Course is situated within the walls of the Kilmorey Estate at the foot of the Mourne Mountains and can be found 3 miles from Kilkeel town centre on the main Newry Road. The beautiful and historic Carlingford Lough flows alongside and frequent glimpses can be obtained through the many mature trees which separate the fairways.

Silent Valley

The Silent Valley is a Mountain Park situated in the high Mournes and features a dam ringed by dramatic Mountain panoramas and the famous Mourne wall located in the U-shaped valley of the Kilkeel river.

Kilbroney Forest Park

The 97 acres which form Kilbroney Park lie close to the shore of Carlingford Lough in the shadow of the forest-clad Slieve Martin. Open spaces and pathways in Kilbroney Park allow relaxing strolls and links directly into the forest park where trails lead through oakwoods and planted lopes of sitka spruce, douglas, fir and pine.

Kilkeel Fishing Harbour

Northern Ireland’s largest fishing fleet. Watch the boats load up supplies and ice before setting sail or watch them return after a fishing expedition and landing at the fish market. The harbour is a hive of activity with fishermen mending nets, loading supplies, or carrying out maintenance.

Cranfield Blue Flag Beach

Cranfield beach is A Blue Flag Beach and is set in an idyllic location at the mouth of Carlingford Lough with the majestic Mourne Mountains as a backdrop. The long, south facing beach offers excellent facilities for all visitors whether it be for a gentle stroll or for water based activities.

GreenCastle Castle

The early 13th century castle stands on high ground overlooking the entrance to Carlingford Lough. If you take the Cranfield Road south out of Kilkeel and follow signs to Cranfield West and then to Greencastle.
